* About 7:45 PM MSTon Jan 26, 2005 an Anomolyous Sound was heard in NW Phoenix.
* The noise was cylical in natue{about 15 sec. from peak to peak when graphed} & lasted for 5 minutes
* A similar cyclical disturbance, manifesting as bursts of electronic static perisisted for an additional 12 minutes or so. 

Observed and/or documented phenomenon from the same period with a high probability of  event correlation
* A ten minute clearing of  overhead cloud cover right after the event(only such clearing of the day)
* A dense luminous cloud/shape that slowly proceeded west with the noise.

WITNESS ACCOUNT
The strange events of Jan. 26th can best be described as rocket-like rumblings that occured in cycles for about 5 minutes. This sound brought several people on my street out of their houses to look up for some source. You'll see why when you
hear the audio files. It shares some characteristics with the noise from a large jet engine, only it has a low moaning undertone to it.  However, it was no jet, as I have filmed/attended 4-5 air shows and know the range(it can be varied) of sounds produced by different aircraft. Not only did it have an underlying moan-like quality, but it was louder, almost without Doppler and it cycled 24 times in 15 second cycles exactly. It gets stranger, as the cycle manifested itself in some electronics(in the form of cyclical static) for ten minutes after the noise was gone. I discovered this when a researcher happened to call me some 3-4 minutes after the sound was gone. When we were talking, I noticed right away that the static I heard on the phone was occurring in the same cycle as the noise had.  I conveyed this fact over the phone and this person(who
frequently does phone interviews) had the bright idea of taping it, so this is also documented.
In addition, we had been receiving rain from a large storm all day (2.25" worth) However, when the noise slowly moved off
to the west, it seemed to take the clouds with it, which resulted in the sky's being clear for some ten minutes after the noise departed........the only sky I saw all day long. I made sure to grab the local weather radar imaging, so I could have that documented as well.
The first noise came just to the east of me and rocked the house, the second was overhead and the subsequent 22 or so were to the west.  I wanted to see if other people had reported this event, so I called the local NBC affiliate Channel 12 who had gotten 3 calls before I called them, so this was heard by many.  I started recording after about the fifth cycle and you
can hear how loud that was. Well, every previous one to that was louder than the one before!  I know the audio file is somewhat creepy(like it was pulled from a movie), but let me tell you this......it does it no justice, this was flat out eerie.
